History
Established in 1943, Hiap Shing Group began as a staple provision supplier. For the next ten years, the organisation evolved from provision supplying to become one of the leading suppliers in building construction materials and services. Having made an inroad into the construction industry, Hiap Shing Construction Pte Ltd was incorporated in year 1970.
In 1975, Hiap Shing businesses extended to providing logistic needs to the shipping industry. The company began to build barges and supply tug boats. It also provides repair and maintenance of vessels. In the same year, Hiap Shing Shipping Pte Ltd was incorporated.
Another subsidy of Hiap Shing; Hiap Shing Hardware and Machinery Pte Ltd was formed in 1978. It concentrates in machineries leasing and its complement its business services with Hiap Shing group of companies.
